Creativity and New Media
For this assignment I created and account on "Second Life", I didn't know about it before, it is kind of fascinating to see my avatar walking in a virtual world, there seems to be other users , not sure if these are the avatars of real people or is it still a demo. I noticed that wee can actually meet other people's avatars and can make friends. We can also shop here , everything seems perfect , there are so many worlds to explore. Although I am unable to take a screen shot , there was a problem and i was keep getting the following message while clicking the travel like for world. I think something was wrong with my computer. But I am still exploring it and find it very interesting.

It's amazing the things we can do when creating an avatar. To me this assignment turned out to be like a game while learning new concepts.
ReplyDeleteI was not familiar with virtual worlds previous to this assignment, but I also found it fascinating. The places I could go to visit and interact people amazed me. I think the best part was that I knew people had similiar likes because they were in the same places as I was. It amazed me how much real life it was. I could do things such as walk around or go shopping for some new clothes. I am sure there are many other cool things we can do, and that I will discover those as time goes on.
